The "locked" Big Bags have the following advantages:

Models:

Heavy Duty: Indicated as reusable model, and with extreme movements and efforts. It is a great option for optimization and better use of inventory, very popular with companies that have a vertical system of storage in racks.

BASIC: More economic, indicated for one use only (disposable).

With Internal Liner

Products that are considered hygroscopic, that is, that absorb the environment humidity, it is recommended the use of internal liner, which is placed with specific equipment, it can be molded according to the big bag shape, and it has the following advantages:

It protects the product completely and has as higher protection against humidity;
It totally controls odors;
Total guarantee against the leaking of extremely fine dusts;
It totally eliminates the risk of product contamination;
Food grade.

Engebag has liner placing technology, which was developed throughout the years with the following options:

Inflated Liner

With specific equipment (food grade) that places the inflated liner inside the big bag (with no manual contact) assuring the correct position and making packaging easy, as well as product flowage.

Inflated and Adhered Liner

We have the option of placing the inflated and adhered liner (with non-toxic glue) in the big bag body, avoiding the liner to be misplaced during unloading. For this specific model, we recommend that the big bag be one way (disposable).

Modular Liner

The liner is placed in the big bag by means of a special system of sewing.

Antistatic

The static electricity is created when the products move over the internal surface of the big bags when they are being loaded or unloaded.

Many organic materials like sugar, flour, corn starch and powdered milk, etc, may form dust clouds creating explosive atmosphere or layers that may ignite by electrostatic discharges. The option for safety regarding such materials is to use antistatic big bags that offer complete protection against electrostatic hazards.

Engebag develops big bag models that meet each client’s necessities and the characteristics of each product, according to the international standard IEC 61340 - Part 4-4 Standard test methods for specific applications - Electrostatic classification of flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC). The antistatic big bags are sorted as:

Type A: With no static protection.
Safe use: For the transportation of non-flammable products.
No solvent or flammable gas shall neighbor these big bags.
Do not use: For the transportation of flammable products.
When solvents or flammable gases neighbor these big bags.

Type B: Low rupture tension.
It prevents the propagation of discharges.
Safe use: For the transportation of dry and flammable dusts.

Do not use: When solvents or flammable gases neighbor these big bags.

Type C: Interconnected conducting wire.
Dissipates the charge to the ground.
Safe use: For the transportation of flammable dusts.
When solvents or flammable gases neighbor these big bags.
Do not use: When there is no ground connection or when it is damaged.

Type D: It does not require ground connection.
Safe use: For the transportation of flammable dusts.
When solvents or flammable gases neighbor these big bags.
Do not use: When the surface is contaminated or covered with conductive material, such as water or lubricant oils.

Engebag is approved by technical appraisals for providing models A and B.

Anti-leak

Engebag has solutions and differentials for fine products with specific characteristics that need special anti-leak systems, either for food products or not.

Hazardous Products

Big bags that store products classified as hazardous require specific approval with accreditation organizations: the products considered hazardous are the ones in the UN (United Nations) Orange Book.

In order to transport hazardous loads by land, the organization responsible for approving the package is Inmetro (Instituto Nacional de Metrologia - National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality), according to recommendations in Resolution ANTT 420 of February, 2004.

In order to transport hazardous loads by sea, the organization responsible for approving the package is DPC ( Diretoria de Portos e Costas – Directorate of Ports and Coasts), according to recommendations in the IMDG code (International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code), based on the Orange Book.
